Romelu Lukaku could be tempted to stay at Everton due to the exciting new project at Goodison Park, according to his agent.
The Belgium international looked all but set to leave Merseyside this summer, having cited a lack of trophy potential with the Toffees as an issue.
However following a big-money takeover at Everton and the arrival of new manager Ronald Koeman, agent Mino Raiola has admitted it’s possible Lukaku could stay with the Premier League outfit unless any European giants declare an interest.
“Everton don’t need the money anymore but Romelu wants to play for a club that can win trophies,” said Raiola, quoted by Sportwereld.
“[However] something’s changed at Everton. There’s a new project. If he leaves, it has to be a good deal for all parties.”
Everton are 12/1 to finish in the top four next season and 7/2 to finish in the top six in Koeman’s first season at the helm.
